Your YouTube videos.A podcast, too
Turn your YouTube videos and past livestreams into a podcast. The Listenbox desktop app imports your playlist or channel, so you can keep publishing to YouTube and reach listeners in podcast apps.

Keep YouTube. Add podcast apps.
- YouTube
- Spotify
- Apple Podcasts
- Pocket Casts
Start with the recordings you already have
Keep uploading or livestreaming to YouTube. Listenbox can bring those recordings into your podcast, alongside episodes you upload directly.
Install the desktop app
Download Listenbox for macOS or Windows from our GitHub releases. Install it, sign in to your Listenbox account, and connect the team you publish with.
Import your playlist or channel
Paste your public playlist or channel URL and choose audio or video. The app downloads, prepares, and uploads your recordings. Keep your computer awake and the app running; later syncs bring in new releases.
Reach your podcast audience
Share your podcast through its RSS feed. If you upload new episodes to YouTube, keep the app running to import them. Listenbox hosts your published episodes even when your computer is off.
Audio reaches Spotify and other podcast apps through your RSS feed after you submit your show. Video playback depends on the app your audience uses. Follow the YouTube import guide for installation, setup, and playback checks.
Your channel. Your workflow. Your podcast.
Start with what you’ve already made, wherever your team prefers to publish first.
- Bring recordings you have the rights to publish
- Import is for creators bringing in their own content. Viewer subscriptions, watch history, and saved playlists aren’t included.
- Import from YouTube, or publish to it
- YouTube → Listenbox requires the desktop app to be running. To send new episodes to YouTube, connect your channel as a publishing destination in Listenbox. You review the release details and choose when to publish.
- Why a desktop app?
- Listenbox had to shut down in 2025 when its old import system could no longer keep up with YouTube’s anti-bot restrictions. Downloading from YouTube at scale is fragile. Downloads now run on your computer, and Listenbox hosts the completed episodes. Read our story for the background. YouTube can still require sign-in or refuse a recording; the guide covers how to continue.
